In the beginning again...
April 11, 2014 this old gem of a house became ours. Well ours and the local bank that mortgaged us will share ownership until the mortgage is paid off that is. Built in 1863 this old new England farmhouse has 5 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, living room, dining room, back porch, side porch, summer kitchen, garage, lean-to, detached barn, basement and a walk up attic. All this is situated on 10 acres of fields, mixed hard and pine wood, borders a stream and even has its own bog and the remnants of an apple orchard.
The above is a stock photo from the realtor and shows the main house and L which houses the summer kitchen, garage and lean-to. We have a lot of plans for her and so it is nice to have a before shot just in case we forget to take a picture at some point along the journey. Below is a slideshow of the interior, some others of the exterior as well as the brook and land. Some are again realtor stock photos (summer ones) and the rest are from us from either the day we first saw her or on closing day.
